Our Technical Staff

Our technical staff includes certified ophthalmic technicians, certified ophthalmic assistants, and licensed practical nurses. Our staff has special training in medical and surgical care of the eye, including special testing such as visual fields, nerve fiber layer analysis, and ophthalmic biometry. All continue their education on a yearly basis through local, regional, and national meetings.

Our Clerical Staff

Angela Lantz, COA

Technician Administrator

Angie has been employed at Eye Surgery Associates since 1989. She assists with patient care and is responsible for the overall management of the clinical department. She maintains compliance for Eye Surgery Associates with OSHA and HIPAA regulations, and quality assurance programs. In January of 2011, Angie had a key role with the implementation of electronic medical records in the clinic. She continues to maintain compliance with electronic medical software updates and governmental regulations pertaining to electronic medical records.

Angie attended the Columbus State Community College. She has completed the American Academy of Ophthalmology Ophthalmic Medical Assisting study course. In 1997, she became certified through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Angie maintains membership in the following organizations:

Angie enjoys being outdoors, gardening and playing the piano in her spare time.

Suellen Rhinebarger

Front Office Administrator

Surgery Coordinator

Suellen has been with Eye Surgery Associates since 1997. She is the surgery coordinator, personally interacting with patients scheduling their surgery and pre-operative testing. She is also the front office administrator, in charge of non-clinical staff members of the practice.

For 22 years prior to her employment with Eye Surgery Associates, she was the manager of the clinical laboratory of a multi-specialty group practice.

Suellen is actively involved with continuing education through regional and national meetings.

Away from the office, Suellen enjoys time with her family and friends usually centered around various sporting events. She especially enjoys time with her grandsons, and is actively involved with the Women of Faith Group at her church.

Teresa Fritter

Business Manager

Teresa assisted Dr. Carl Minning in opening his practice in 1983 and managed the office for several years. After a short absence she returned to the practice as the business manager. She oversees the business and financial operations of the practice as well as physician credentialing, managed care contracting, employee benefits, payroll, accounts payable, billing, and various other duties for Eye Surgery Associates and Zanesville Lasik Center, LLC. Teresa is also the business manager for InSight Surgery & Laser Center, LLC, and had a key role in the development of the center.

In her spare time, Teresa enjoys gardening and outdoor activities.

Teresa Huffman, RN

Administrative/Clinical Director, InSight Surgery & Laser Center

Teresa is the Director of our ambulatory surgery center team. She supervises the clinical and clerical staff in addition to supervising the daily operation of the center. Teresa is also responsible for staff development, orientation, and evaluation.

Teresa has been a registered nurse for 25 years. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing form Ohio University Zanesville in 1984. In addition, Teresa has Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Teresa has a vast clinical background. She has worked in psychiatric nursing, medical/ surgical nursing, hemodialysis, recovery and long-term health care settings. She has also had administrative experience as a regional manager of five dialysis centers. Prior to coming to InSight, she spent 6 years in an ambulatory surgery center setting. Teresa’s roles have varied from staff nurse, preceptor, and charge nurse to administrator.

In her spare time, Teresa enjoys camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
